Our staff team at XUK

It would be impossible to summarise in this small section how highly we value our leaders. We understand that great camps have great staff. This is why we select ours using structured four-hour interviews. It is why we train them, not just in the regulations and activities, but also in the XUK ethos.

Our staff teams include qualified lifeguards, teachers sports instructors, English teachers & first aiders.

We’re immensely proud of our team and delighted that so many of them return to work at XUK year after year.

Management Team

The camp is managed by brothers Richard and Nick Bernstein.

Between September and July we spend our time planning how to make camp even better next time round. We interview staff, prepare activities and trips, and speak to hundreds of parents on the phone. By the time camp begins, we hope to have made direct contact with the parents of every child coming to XUK.

Richard started managing camps in 1996. He has run hundreds of camps, managing thousands of staff and looked after tens of thousands of children and teenagers. He retains a hands-on approach to every aspect of camp, and will be on site throughout the summer to ensure that XUK runs to his very high standards.
