Temperatures rose just below 30c on Wednesday, providing the perfect weather for an exciting day for XUK English. After the morning classes, the whole camp travelled north to our sister camp XUK for an afternoon of activities. Navigators loved the orienteering whilst those looking for an adrenaline rush would not have been disappointed by the quad bikes. The outward bound course was perfect for thrill-seekers, but maybe not for sufferers of vertigo! Once the activities had ended, the two camps came together for an epic barbeque to round off a great day.
The wonderful weather continued into Thursday. In the morning, filming began on the film-making project undertaken by one of the classes. The students wrote and will star in the film themselves, demonstrating their talents in acting, writing and of course English language. Later on in the day, the camp resembled a James Bond-style scene as casino night fell into full flow. But don’t worry, no money was involved!
